Just a Humble Bounty Hunter, Ma'am
The Bebop
External Services:
Uh, listen, Jet.
--This guy's a major player in the Syndicate. Operates all around the asteroids.
You said bell peppers and beef.
--His name's Asimov Solensan. Are you listening to me?
There's no beef in here. So you wouldn't really call it bell peppers and beef, now would you.
--Yes, I would.
Well, it's not!
--It is when you're broke, all right?
What happened to the million Woolong reward we got for that last guy?
--The repair bill for that cruiser you wrecked. And the one from that shop you trashed. And the medical bill from the cop you injured... killed the dough! Now, three days ago there was a big shootout between his group and a rival Syndicate. He killed his own guys and then took off like the wind. Word is he's hiding out with some sweet thing in Tijuana.
TJ? That place is for small fries.
--Yeah, well, this small fry's worth 2 and a half million.
I don't feel like it.

27 years old, about 6'2" tall, skinny as hell, apathetic on the surface, and with a cast of dark green to his unruly hair, Spike is an ex-crime-syndicate hit-man currently scratching out a meager living as a bounty hunter. He lives on a modified interplanetary fishing trawler called The Bebop with his partner Jet Black, an ungrateful stowaway named Faye Valentine, a dog named Ein, and a 13-year-old kid named Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV (but to save themselves a lot of trouble, they just call her Ed). Most days he's a massive bundle of attitude, but that's just a coverup for his secrets. And he's got a few of those.

He and Jet have been partnered for three years, traveling the solar system from Venus to the moons of Saturn and all points in between. Born on Mars in 2044, he gave up life in the Red Dragon Crime Syndicate by making everyone believe he was dead. In the three years since, he's made a little bit of a name for himself as a bounty hunter worth paying attention to... but he's just one of 300,000 bounty hunters out there in the solar system. Sometimes he's lucky, but more often than not there's no reward in it. He can't afford to be as picky as he is, but neither can he be someone he's not.

With his IMI Jericho 941 (the weapon of choice) and his arsenal of Jeet Kune Do skills, he'll take on anybody any time. As the front man for the bounty hunting team, he puts his ass on the line every damn time; he's as often seen wearing bandages as he is his jacket, shirt, and tie. But don't let his appearance deceive you: he rarely loses a fight.

Spike comes to the game from just after Session 11, Toys in the Attic.
